NOVEMBER 2020: Rental E-scooters and E-bikes are not to be left within Freemans Park grounds and pathways

The Body Corporate requests that all residents refrain from parking rental E-bikes and rental E-scooters in the common property of Freeman’s Park. Leaving these devices in the common property means they cannot be accessed by other users from the public road side and breaches the rental agreement with the service provider.

The Building Manager has full authority to tow away any rental micromobility devices parked on common property of the Body Corporate. When they are towed the service provider may on-charge the person who rented the device for the cost of the towing fee.

Residents who leave these devices within common property will be in breach of the following body corporate operating rules: 2a, 4 and 6 and owner-landlords are responsible for the actions of their tenants.

The main service providers in Auckland (Beam, Neuron, Lime and JUMP) have been requested to set up a virtual boundary line that would disable any users to park within the property.  Beam and Neuron have already implemented the boundary line and the Body Corporate is awaiting confirmation from Lime who also manages JUMP.

Your cooperation in making sure that the rental E-bikes and E-scooters are parked on  the public road side and not common property is greatly appreciated, as well as that where applicable, your tenants are informed as this also relates to compliance with operational rules.
