Welcome to
Freemans Park

This website has useful information and updates for Freemans Park's residents and owners, for people who are interested in buying or selling a unit here, and for anyone who has an interest in our architectural and landscape design, and our history.

Freemans Park is a unique example of mid-century modernist urban and landscape design in New Zealand.

It’s located in historic Freemans Bay, whose waters once supplied local Māori with essential natural resources and whose land became one of the earliest settled areas in colonial Auckland.

Freemans Park is home to 201 residences set in 8.5 acres of park-like land. Built in the 1960s, it reflects the optimism of its era and a desire for simplicity, functionality, and a connection with nature.

The seamless relationship between Freemans Park’s buildings and their surrounding landscaped grounds makes it one of Auckland’s most prized inner-city communities.

An oasis of calm, it’s right next to the CBD, moments from the Waitematā Harbour, and a five minute walk to Ponsonby and its cafés, restaurants, and shops.

Aerial view of downtown Auckland, New Zealand, with high-rise buildings, urban streets, and surrounding water bodies, under a cloudy sky.
